Some campus newspapers reject political endorsements
Virginia’s college students may have registered to vote in unprecedented numbers this year, but many won’t have their campus newspapers suggesting who to vote for. Newspapers have a long tradition of endorsing candidates but some college editors said picking candidates is not part of the role they play.

E&H’s radio range to get boost
With recent approval from the Federal Communications Commission and a federal grant announced Wednesday, the college radio station, 90.7 WEHC, will build a new tower and increase its power to 10,000 watts – a hundredfold increase over what it was two years ago. The new radio tower will stand 199 feet above Interstate 81.

Liberty University deciding whether to allow concealed weapon permit holders on campus
Liberty University will consider whether to allow concealed weapon permit holders to carry guns on campus at its next board of trustees meeting, Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr. said Thursday.
